Last weekend cerascreen was back at the Allergy & Free From Show London. We had a great time in London and it was amazing to be part of the world’s largest celebration of ‘free from’ food & drinks, lifestyle products and health solutions. The show was held at Olympia from Friday 7th of July to Sunday 9th of July. It was a busy but rewarding weekend. There were over 230 exhibitors with a huge range of tasty, free from, natural, vegan and vegetarian, organic food and exciting new products that help make the ‘free from’ lifestyle easier, delicious and fun!
On Friday, visitors had the chance to attend a free talk with our friend Natasha Boojihawon. In this valuable session she explained how Vitamin B12 and Histamine affect the body. Natasha is a Nutritional Therapist, with a vision to support people to live full and happy lives. In 2014, she founded holistic practice Earth Clinic in Manchester. We met Natasha in 2016, and were impressed with her passion and expertise. Since then Natasha has been writing articles for our blog about her experiences as a therapist and how cerascreen helps her treat her patients.
During the fair our colleagues Robert, Sebastian and Karoline were meeting the visitors and explaining the benefits of our tests. It was so busy that our brochures were gone by midday on Sunday to the disappointment of interested visitors. Many suffer from abdominal discomfort, tiredness or migraines, and were pleasantly surprised that food allergies and intolerances can easily be tested at home.
Even though it was very busy we still had some time to walk around the fairgrounds and meet other exhibitors. Fortunately, we also managed to try some tasty ‘free from’ items. The reishi mushroom chocolate, ‘almost rye’ gluten free bread and birch water were our favourites. We were simply impressed by the variety of ‘free from’ food. Right opposite our booth, ‘Global Fusion’ served healthy and nutritious vegan quiches and not so healthy but divine vegan cake. Yum! Our only issue was the fact that there was simply no way to try everything.
It was truly fantastic to meet so many interested people at the Allergy & Free From Show London 2017 - many new and some familiar. We always like talking with you and listening to your stories. Many of our visitors live with food allergies, digestive issues and other health problems. It was great to give people an understanding of how self tests can help improve their quality of life.
We also ran a competition over the weekend for one lucky person to win a free iPad. The competition was hugely popular. We will announce the winner soon - so stay tuned!
